KIDS BIKE RODEOS
The SCU runs kids bike rodeos at community events, and is a proud partner of the Sudbury Cycles and Greater Sudbury Police Services bike rodeos.
Since 2011, the SCU has been running bike rodeos at community events. We've also provided volunteers for rodeos run by Sudbury Cycles and the Greater Sudbury Police Service.
We'll set up a skills practice course for smaller children who can practice their starting and stopping skills, and who'll learn the proper hand signals for their turns.
We'll also set up a more advanced course for older children who wish to learn more safe cycling skills, including riding in a straight line, shoulder checking, stopping and turning hand signals, dodging obstacles, quick stops, slalom practice to develop turning skills, and proper gearing.
All bike rodeos have a helmet check station and an ABC bike check station.
We're always looking for volunteers to help out!
